Port Logan pier body discovery made

A man's body has been found on rocks near a pier in the south of Scotland, police have confirmed.

The body was discovered on the seaward side of the pier at Port Logan, south of Stranraer, at about 14:30 on Sunday.

The man has not been identified, but police said he was in his early 20s, about 5ft 10in tall and very slim.

He had light brown hair and was wearing a dark grey top, black trousers and black shoes.

Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary has asked anyone with information about the man's identity or how he may have died to contact them.
