Dumfries and Galloway town centre facelift plan agreed

The go-ahead has been given for a £500,000 facelift scheme for town centres across Dumfries and Galloway.

It is hoped the council-run project could help to improve about 160 properties throughout the region.

The grant scheme will support and encourage property and business owners to improve buildings which have fallen into a state of disrepair.

If necessary, enforcement action will be used to get those in the worst condition cleaned up.
