Dumfries Infirmary wards reopen after norovirus outbreak

All wards at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary have now reopened following the sickness bug which has hit the hospital in the past two weeks.

However, action has been taken over similar problems at the Galloway Community Hospital in Stranraer.

Its Dalrymple ward has shut after three patients showed norovirus symptoms.

NHS Dumfries and Galloway is monitoring the situation and infection control procedures and hygiene measures remain in force.
