Operation Goal drug operation arrests pass 30

A further round of arrests has been made as part of a major drugs operation in towns across the Scottish Borders.

It takes the total to more than 30 since Operation Goal started earlier this month.

Two men from Galashiels and four from Hawick have been charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act after raids in the towns between Wednesday and Sunday.

Det Ch Insp Amanda McGrath said it underlined that such raids were not a "one-off occurrence".
