Two men held after alleged assault in Dundee tenement

Two men have been detained after an alleged assault on a 46-year-old man at a tenement in Dundee.

The man, who is believed to have suffered head and arm injuries, was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The incident took place at a flat in Maitland Street, Dundee, on Wednesday evening.

Both ends of the street were blocked by police shortly after 17:00.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that two men, aged 29, were detained later by officers.
