Galashiels firm ProStrakan begins anti-nausea patch sales in Europe

Scottish Borders drugs firm ProStrakan has launched its anti-nausea patch for cancer patients in Europe.

Sancuso is already available in the US and was approved for sale in the EU last year.

The anti-nausea treatment is delivered via a skin patch, for chemotherapy patients who may have difficulty swallowing.

ProStrakan was bought by Japanese pharmaceutical firm Kyowa Hakko Kirin (KHK) in 2011.

It retains its head office in Galashiels.
