Hawick police issue pills warning

Police in Hawick have issued a warning after a quantity of medication was stolen from a property in the town.

A house in Trinity Street was broken into at about 21:00 on Saturday and the packets of methylphenidate taken.

Anyone who comes across the pills is asked to hand them in to the nearest police station.

Police said the tablets could have "significant health implications" if taken by anyone they were not prescribed for.
