Borders clothing firm managing director denies theft charge

A Borders clothing firm managing director has appeared in court charged with stealing more than £194,000 worth of property from the business.

At Selkirk Sheriff Court, William Lauder, 48, of Hawick, denied stealing jeans, jackets, badges and other items.

The offence is alleged to have taken place while he was working for Aero Clothing Ltd at its Galashiels and Hawick premises between 2004 and 2013.

Mr Lauder is due to stand trial on 3 November.
