Police are appealing for help in tracing a man who was spotted behaving suspiciously on a bus in the Lockerbie area.

During the journey between Lockerbie Academy and Boreland, he took photographs of two schoolgirls, aged 13 and 17.

He also filmed them on his hand held tablet device.

Police Scotland said the incident happened on the 112 Houstons bus just after 15:30 on Friday.

He is described as about 50-years-old, with dark brown hair, of medium build and he was wearing a black and red woolly patterned hat. He had a black rucksack with him.

The camera he used is described as a "photographer's camera" with a screw on lens.

Police have asked witnesses to identify the man or for the man to come forward to explain his behaviour.
