Borders College student death counselling offered

Counselling is being offered to staff and students at Borders College following the death of a student.

It comes after the "untimely death" of 21-year-old Megan Stewart from Hawick.

A short statement from the college said that she had been an "extremely popular student".

It added that her death would have a "huge impact" on students and staff at the campus and said support would be offered "if required".

The college offered its "sincere condolences" to Ms Stewart's family at an "extremely difficult time".
