Borders General Hospital ward reopens after bug outbreak

A ward at Borders General Hospital has reopened to admissions after a norovirus outbreak.

Ward 12 was shut last week at the Melrose site with increased incidence of the bug also being reported in the wider community.

Nursing director Evelyn Rodger said that although all wards were now open that could change "very quickly".

She thanked the public for listening to advice on visiting and hygiene to help tackle the outbreak.
