Police have launched an investigation after tablets were taken in a break-in at a south of Scotland pharmacy.

It follows an incident at the Whithorn Pharmacy on the town's St John's Street between Saturday and Monday.

A window was smashed and a number of cocodamol and pregabalin tablets were taken.

Police want to speak to anyone who was in the area over the weekend or who saw any suspicious activity near the premises.
