A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of an 18-year-old in Alva, Clackmannanshire, on Sunday.

Jack Cramb, 19, from Alva, appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court after the death of Barry Bradley, grandson of convicted drug dealer Margaret "Big Mags" Haney.

Mr Bradley was found at Dalmore Drive in the Nethergate area at about 1830 BST, and died later in hospital.

Brent Fairley, 23, also appeared on petition on an allegation of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Kept order

Both accused made no plea or declaration during the brief private hearing in front of Sheriff Valerie Johnstone.

They were remanded in custody and the case was continued for further examination.

A further hearing is expected to take place at Alloa Sheriff Court next Tuesday.

Police kept order as several members of the Haney family waited outside the court.
