Man dies after being hit by lorry in Stirling

A pedestrian has died after being hit by a lorry in Stirling on Wednesday afternoon.

Central Scotland Police said 63-year-old Jeffrey Levy, from Stirling, had "fallen into the path" of the goods vehicle on the A84 Back O'Hill Road.

The collision happened at about 1505 BST near the Laurencecroft roundabout.

The 56-year-old male driver of the lorry was uninjured. The road was closed for about three hours after the incident.

Police have appealed to witnesses of the crash to contact them.
