Dundee baby death was 'tragic accident'

The death of a 10-month-old boy from Dundee is not being treated as suspicious, police have said.

Leland Symons became unwell at his home in Forres Crescent at about 1300 BST on Monday and was taken to Ninewells Hospital, where he died.

Tayside Police said a post-mortem examination confirmed his death was the result of a "tragic accident".

A spokeswoman said the death was in no way connected to a blind cord, as was reported by some newspapers.

A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
