Two 14-year-old boys have been charged in connection with the vandalism of Christmas lights in an Angus town.
The damage to the display, on the High Street in Carnoustie, was discovered at about 0900 GMT on Thursday.
Tayside Police said all the advertising boards promoting local businesses that were hanging underneath the lights had been smashed.
The boys have also been reported to the Children's Panel, a police spokeswoman said.
