Pedestrian seriously injured in A932 Angus van crash

A 51-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a van in Angus.

Police said the pedestrian was hit by a white Fiat Doblo on the A932 Forfar to Lochlands road, just north of the area known locally as Duff's Corner.

The incident happened shortly before 2200 GMT on Friday. The man was taken to Ninewells Hospital were he was found to have a life threatening head injury.

Police have appealed for witnesses to the collision to contact them.
