Man robbed woman inside her car

A woman has been robbed by a man who got into her car as she prepared to drive away from a supermarket car park.

The victim had just got into her black Saab in the Morrisons car park in Perth when a man opened the passenger door.

Police said the woman had managed to escape and was "shocked by her experience but unhurt".

The man was described as being in his mid 20s, of slim build and about 5ft 7in tall. He was wearing a white hoodie with a hat and checked scarf.

Tayside Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

A spokesman for the force said they were increasing patrols in the area following the robbery.
