Vandals damage 40m of Bo'ness stone wall

Almost 40m (131ft) of stone walling in Bo'ness, Falkirk, has been vandalised, causing thousands of pounds of damage.

The dyke, which surrounds a field on the foreshore between Bo'ness and Blackness, was damaged between 07:30 on Saturday and 07:45 on Monday.

About 30m of coping stones have been knocked down and there is "extensive damage" to 7m of wall, police said.

Officers have appealed to anyone with information about the vandalism to contact them.

Inspector Campbell Dick, from Central Scotland Police, said: "This is a popular route with walkers and somebody may have seen something or some information relating to this vandalism."
