Five rescued from St Ninians flat blaze
Five people have been rescued after a fire broke out in a block of flats in Stirling.
The blaze at Ivybank in St Ninians started at about 09:00 on Sunday in the common close of the flats on the ground floor.
Firefighters used a ladder to rescue five people from a first floor flat.
Central Scotland Fire Service said one of them had been taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
The blaze was eventually put out by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and using a hose reel.
About 14 firefighters and three fire engines from Stirling and Bridge of Allan were sent to the scene.
