Man charged over Dundee fires

A 28-year-old man has been charged by police in connection with two major fires in Dundee city centre.

Fifteen people were rescued from a burning tenement building in Garland Place on 25 April, with two residents and a firefighter suffering minor injuries.

The following day, a fire broke out in the stairwell of a flat in Union Street.

Tayside Police the man had been charged in connection with both incidents.
