Thieves steal 2.6 tonne roller from road in Falkirk

An investigation has been launched into the theft of a road roller in Falkirk.

The vehicle was taken sometime between 14:30 on Tuesday 21 August and 09:00 on Wednesday 22 August from a site on the B8028, near the Greyrigg Inn, in California in Falkirk.

The 2.6 tonne roller, made by Bomag, is described as black and yellow in colour and had Jarvie Plant stickers across the sides.

Central Scotland Police said the machine was worth a five figure sum.
