Police name pensioner killed in road crash near Drymen

Police have named the 67-year-old man who died following a collision near Drymen.

John McCall, from Stirling, was declared dead at the scene after his grey Skoda collided with a blue Volvo on A811 about 14:30 on Tuesday.

His 13-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries while the driver of the Volvo car was uninjured.

Central Scotland Police are keen to hear from anybody who saw the vehicles before the crash.

The road was shut for several hours while collision investigators examined the scene of the incident.
