Police probe indecent assaults on teenage girls in Falkirk and Polmont

Two teenage girls have been indecently assaulted in separate incidents in central Scotland.

A 15-year-old girl was attacked in Boyd Street, Falkirk, between 20:30 and 23:30 on Friday.

And a 14-year-old was indecently assaulted in a wooded area near Greenpark Drive, Polmont, the next day.

Police said they were following a positive line of inquiry in relation to the second incident, which took place between 22:00 and 23:30 on Saturday.

Det Insp Douglas Anderson, of Central Scotland Police, said: "We stress that these two incidents are not connected and we urge parents to ensure they know where their children are.

"Our advice to parents is to encourage their children to stick together when they are out and look after each other."

Police have appealed for witnesses to both incidents to come forward.
