Woman sexually assaulted in Dundee's Trottick ponds

An 18-year-old woman has been sexually assaulted in a park in Dundee regularly used by dog walkers.

Tayside police said the attack took place about 06:00 on Monday at the Trottick Ponds.

The victim is understood to have entered the park via a footpath and was walking eastwards when she was approached by the man and sexually assaulted.

Officers said the 18-year-old was upset but did not require hospital treatment.

Police said the woman described her attacker as being in his 20s, 5ft 8in or 5ft 9in tall, of thin build, with short curly hair and he was wearing dark clothing.

The force said the area was frequented by dog walkers and officers were keen to speak to anyone walking their pet around the time of the incident.
