A9 death crash victim named as Michael Cox

Tayside Police have confirmed the identity of an 84-year-old man who died following a two-vehicle crash on the A9.

He has been named as Michael Cox, from Killiecrankie in Perthshire.

The accident took place on the A9, between Ballinluig and Dunkeld, at about 16:00 last Thursday.

Despite the efforts of emergency crews, Mr Cox was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tayside Police said inquiries into the incident were ongoing, but that they were keen to speak to anyone who saw or spoke with Mr Cox before his journey.
