Dunblane woman in her 90s targeted by bogus workman
Police in Dunblane are warning residents to be on the lookout for bogus workmen after a woman in her 90s was conned out of over £100.
Officers said the incident happened at the woman's house in Roman Way at about 10:30 on 19 November.
The woman handed a three-figure sum of money to the man who said he would do some work in her garden. He did not carry out the work and did not return.
He is described as about 5"6, in his 40s and of a slim build.
Officers want to hear from anyone who may have seen the man in Roman Way on Monday.
A Central Scotland Police spokeswoman said: "We advise that you always verify identification from cold callers and if they are suspicious, contact the police."
