Police investigate 'firebomb' attack on Dundee flat
Police and firefighters are investigating an firebomb attack at a flat in Dundee.
The resident of the 11th floor flat in Lansdowne Court in Lochee was taken to hospital after he woke to find his front door ablaze and resorted to kicking his way through it.
Firefighters said an improvised firebomb containing lighter fluid had been used in the incident on Sunday.
The Scottish Fire Service described the blaze as "very suspicious".
The resident raised the alarm at about 04:00 on Sunday morning.
The 51-year-old kicked his way through the burning door before firefighters wearing breathing apparatus arrived to clear smoke from the flat.
The man was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment for smoke inhalation.
