Helicopter search after Denny petrol station robbery
Police are investigating an armed robbery at a petrol station in Denny.
Officers were called to the petrol station on Glasgow Road in the Falkirk town at 21:40 on Tuesday, after a man stole a three-figure sum of cash.
Inquiries are continuing to trace the culprit, described as being 16 to 30 years old, between 5ft 8in and 6ft tall and wearing a black hoodie.
The Police Scotland helicopter was deployed as part of the search, and officers have appealed for witnesses.
Det Insp Graeme Hendy confirmed no-one was injured in the robbery.
He said: "This robbery left the attendant at the garage traumatised and the suspect made off with a quantity of cash.
"He made off in the direction of Paris Avenue, so we are appealing for any householders or people in the area to come forward."
