A ward at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee has been closed to new admissions following a suspected outbreak of the winter vomiting bug.

Several patients have suffered vomiting and diarrhoea which is thought to have been caused by norovirus.

NHS Tayside said all appropriate infection control measures had been put in place.

People feeling unwell are being asked not to visit patients until at least 48 hours after they are free of symptoms.
