Two men are due in court in connection with a robbery at the home of Stagecoach tycoon Ann Gloag's daughter.

It is understood Sarah Salins and her husband Sundeep were tied up by masked thieves who made off with jewellery and personal belongings worth hundreds of thousands of pounds on Monday evening.

Police Scotland confirmed two men aged 40 and 57 had been arrested after the raid, and another in Crieff on Sunday.

They are expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Thursday.

A spokeswoman for Ann Gloag said: "This was a horrific ordeal for the family members involved.

"The family is co-operating fully with the police and assisting them in every way possible.

"Understandably, this has been a very difficult time for the whole family and we ask that their privacy is respected at this time."
