Man set for murder trial over Bridge of Earn death
A 56-year-old man is to stand trial charged with murdering his partner at his Perthshire home.
Mohammed Ali Abboud is accused of killing Agnieska Szelfer in Bridge of Earn on 23 January.
He is alleged to have murdered the 27-year-old teacher by stabbing her repeatedly with a knife.
Abboud was remanded in custody and fully committed for trial following a closed-doors judicial examination at Perth Sheriff Court.
Originally from Poland, Miss Szelfer had been living in Bridge of Earn after completing a university course in Stirling, but had recently taken up a teaching post in Kuwait.
