Appeal after pedestrian's near miss

Police have appealed for a pedestrian to come forward after he was almost involved in a collision with a car which mounted a pavement.

Officers said the Volvo V60 was travelling on the A905 between Bo'ness and Gate 10 of the Ineos refinery at the time.

The vehicle moved across the carriageway, mounted the pavement and narrowly avoided the man.

A 43-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident.

The near-collision took place at about 17:00 on Saturday 23 April.

Officers said the pedestrian was carrying golf clubs at the time and was uninjured.

PC Scott Kirkpatrick: "I am appealing to this pedestrian or anybody who witnessed the vehicle driving on the pavement to contact police immediately."
