Petrochemical plant warning system to be tested
Maintenance on the Grangemouth public warning system may trigger voice alerts or sounds, local residents have been advised.
Work will take place between 28 June and 1 July from 10:00 to 18:00.
During this period, the warning masts located throughout the Grangemouth petrochemical works area may be briefly activated.
Falkirk Council said the public should not take any action if they hear the alerts.
A council spokesman said: "If an actual incident occurs, this will be made clear in announcements and continuous warning sirens.
"The public should follow instructions to go in, tune in and stay in throughout this period."
