Man killed in A9 road collision near Blair Atholl junction

A 43-year-old man has died following a collision between a van and a lorry on the A9, near the Blair Atholl junction.

The incident took place at about 07:45 on Thursday.

Police Scotland said the man, who has not been named, sustained fatal injuries in the collision.

A Tayside Division spokeswoman said the man's next of kin had been informed and a formal identification would be carried out in due course.

The road's northbound carriageway reopened shortly after 15:30.
