Teenager charged after woman seriously injured in crash

A teenager has been charged in connection with a Stirlingshire road crash that left a 38-year-old woman seriously injured.

The woman was a passenger in a Chevrolet Spark which was involved in a collision with the 17-year-old man's Nissan Navara at Ballat Crossroads, near Balfron.

The incident took place at about 10:50 on Saturday.

Police confirmed the teenager has been charged with dangerous driving.

The woman remains in a serious condition in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
