A9 reopens following two-vehicle collision

The A9 was closed in both directions in Highland Perthshire for more than five hours following a two-vehicle collision.

The incident took place shortly after 09:00 four miles to the north of House of Bruar.

Fire crews removed two men from the vehicles, with one casualty airlifted to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee and the other taken by ambulance to Perth Royal Infirmary.

The road reopened shortly before 13:00.
