Climber dies after rock face fall near Llanddulas

A man has died while climbing at a rock face near Abergele in Conwy county.

North Wales Police were called to the incident at a wooded area at Llanddulas, at 1222 BST on Saturday when the man's body was discovered.

Chris Lloyd, of Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue team, said the man, who was with his son, fell after climbing about 20m up the rock face.

The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service rope rescue team, and a helicopter from RAF Valley 22 Squadron also attended.

Mr Lloyd said the scene had now been cleared.
