Burst main hits Swansea water supply

  • Published

Drinking water supplies to more than 1,000 homes in two areas of Swansea have been hit by a burst water main.

Welsh Water says customers in Langland and Mumbles are affected by the burst in Somerset Road, Langland.

A repair team from the company is on site and Welsh Water said it is doing all it can to repair the main quickly.

A spokesperson said they anticipate supplies will be restored by about 1200 BST on Thursday.

Once the water supply is restored some customers may notice some discolouration of tap water, but this should quickly clear, the spokesperson added.

The company apologised for the inconvenience. Anyone who wants to speak to Welsh Water about the incident should call on 0800 052 0130.
