Holidaymaker from Bath hurt in Pembrokeshire path fall

A 48-year-old holidaymaker has been taken to hospital after she fell while walking on the Pembrokeshire coastal path and hit her head.

The woman, from Bath, Somerset, who was alone, managed to make her way to Whitesands beach where there was a safe surfing event going on, said Milford Haven coastguards.

She was treated at the scene by a St John Ambulance crew who were attending the event. She was then put on a spinal board and taken by ambulance to Withybush hospital, Haverfordwest.

A coastguard team from St David's went to the emergency, which was reported at 1310 BST.
