A Bangladeshi man has been told he faces a Crown Court trial after being arrested during a raid by immigration officials in Conwy county borough.
Mohammed Chowdhury, 30, was held after the operation at a takeaway restaurant at Llanfairfechan.
He appeared at a special court hearing on Saturday at Llandudno, accused of having a false UK residency permit.
He was remanded in custody until Friday, when he will appear at Caernarfon Crown Court.
Prosecutor Gerallt Evans told the hearing that Mr Chowdhury had already been served with a deportation order following his arrest.
Nia Davies, defending, said her client accepted his position.
"He loves this country and wants to stay but he accepts he will now have to go back home," she said.
