Firefighters tackle blaze at pub in Merthyr Tydfil

South Wales firefighters have put out a blaze at a Wetherspoon pub in Merthyr Tydfil.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the three-storey Y Dic Penderyn pub on High Street at 0910 BST on Tuesday.

The fire was in an extraction unit on the third floor of the building.

A hydraulic platform was used to fight the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.
