Fifth arrest after Morrisons petrol station robbery

A fifth person has been arrested on suspicion of robbery at a north Wales petrol station.

A masked man armed with a "cross bow-type weapon" raided Morrisons petrol station on Smithfield Road, Denbigh, on Tuesday, 28 December.

A 22-year-old man arrested is in police custody.

Police have again appealed for anyone with information to contact St Asaph CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Det Ch Insp Steve Williams of North Wales Police thanked the public for their help.

"We would again like to thank the community of Denbigh for their assistance and look forward to their continued support," he said.
