Great Tor, Gower, climber airlifted after cliff fall

A climber has been airlifted to Morriston Hospital in Swansea after falling from a cliff on Gower.

Swansea coastguard said the man was able to lower himself to the beach and his climbing partner raised the alarm.

The pair had been climbing on the Great Tor, near Three Cliffs Bay, when the man fell about 30ft (9m).

The alert was raised at around 14:30 BST on Saturday. The air ambulance took the man to hospital. His injuries are described as 'not life threatening'.
