Police have made a renewed appeal for witnesses following a car crash which left a 28-year-old woman dead.

Heather Hughes, from Brackla, Bridgend, was at the wheel of a silver Audi A4 estate which crashed at a roundabout on the A473 at Coychurch, Bridgend, on Saturday 25 May.

No other vehicles were involved and Ms Hughes died later in hospital.

South Wales Police particularly want to speak to the driver who briefly stopped to help and a pedestrian.

A spokesperson said: "The police would specifically like to speak to the driver of a large dark coloured car, possibly an Audi or Volkswagen, the driver of which is believed to have stopped briefly to offer assistance."

The other potential witness was a pedestrian, believed to be in his early 20s, who was walking past the roundabout at about the time of the collision.

South Wales Police asked for anyone with information to contact the serious collision investigation unit on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
