The M4 was closed in both directions for a time near Bridgend on Friday morning after sheep got onto the carriageway.

South Wales Police were called to the motorway near Sarn, Bridgend, at Junction 36.

Officers carried out a rolling road closure to slow down traffic while the sheep were removed.

A spokesman said the initial call came at 08:45 BST and by 09:20 three or four sheep were walking along motorway.

The M4 was back to normal by 09:50 BST and there were no accidents.
