Three boys have been rescued from a cliff in Gwynedd after becoming trapped by a rising tide.

The 12, 13 and 14-year olds, dressed in shorts and t-shirts, were rescued south of Borth-y-Gest near Porthmadog at 19:00 BST on Monday.

They were airlifted by RAF Valley to Black Rock sands where their parents were waiting.

The RNLI also attended, passing survival ponchos and balaclavas to the boys, who were cold and wet.
