Two hurt in M4 multi-vehicle crash near Llantrisant

Two people have been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on the M4 west of Cardiff.

The incident happened eastbound between junction 33 and 34 near Llantrisant at about midday.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said seven vehicles were involved but it was unclear if any lanes of the motorway were closed as a result.

Fire crews released one person and a second left a vehicle unaided. They were then taken to hospital.

It is not known if there were any other injuries.

Fire crews from Pontyclun, Pontypridd and Whitchurch in Cardiff were called to the scene.
