A police chief has launched his own awards scheme to honour unsung heroes who fight back against crime in north Wales.

Police and Crime Commissioner Winston Roddick wants to recognise those who work hard to keep their town peaceful and safe.

The People's Awards presentation will be held next month.

Mr Roddick said he wanted to thank the "silent workers" who help their community.
