Inquest opens after crash death near Aberystwyth

An inquest has been opened on a Powys man who was killed in a three-vehicle road crash on Sunday.

Andrew Shaw, 60, from Machynlleth, was involved in a collision between a motorcycle and two cars on the A487 north of Bow Street, near Aberystwyth.

Ceredigion coroner Peter Brunton opened the inquest and then adjourned it to a later date.

Police are appealing for witnesses, and anyone with information can contact officers in Aberystwyth on 101.

The collision happened at about 1300 BST on Sunday.
